Saying goodbye to someone you love is difficult and the church is here to help you as you grieve and navigate the complexity of emotion and administration when someone has died. Funerals can be held in church or at the chapel at a crematorium or cemetery and the vicar will guide you through the process of arranging a service and work with you to shape a fitting tribute that helps you to remember the person who has died and to say a respectful farewell. We can be as flexible as you want with the order of service working with your chosen funeral director and helping you to choose appropriate music, arranging video montages of photographs and anything else that you might like as part of the celebration of your loved ones life.

We also aim to provide follow up pastoral care by keeping in touch after the funeral. If you would like to know more about pastoral care please go to our Pastoral Care page here.
Once a year on All Saints Sunday (the first Sunday in November) we commemorate those who have died, particularly remembering those who have died in the previous year but also inviting anyone who wishes to commemorate a loved one to come to the Sunday service and write in our book of remembrance.
