Weddings

Church weddings are a joyous occasion and if you are planning a wedding or thinking about getting married – congratulations! We’d love to help make your wedding as special and unique to you as we can.

The vicar would be delighted to talk to you about your plans for getting married and help you to shape a service which celebrates your love in the presence of your family and friends.

The Order of service, music, readings and prayers can all be co-ordinated in discussion with you and it’s also possible to arrange refreshments in church after the service if that’s something you would like.

Anyone who lives in the parish of St. Luke’s Prestonville can be married in the church, you don’t need to be a church goer (you can find out if you live in the parish by putting your postcode in at this link) . Also anyone who worships regularly at the church or has some sort of family connection (grandparents were married here, family members were baptised here etc.)

Sadly we cannot yet marry same-sex couples in church but we are happy to chat with you about a service of blessing following a civil partnership or marriage. The vicar can explain why this is the case if you contact him directly on martin@stlukesonline.co.uk
